blog_001

It seems appropriate that the first post on this blog accounts for the past and expresses my intention for the future.

I ignored a previous incarnation of this website for a number of years as I pursued another muse. After I left the newspaper where I had worked for close to a quarter century I wrote a novel—  People Get Sexy When Two Towns Fight. A humorous commentary on the relationship between two small towns that I adore, Cobourg and Port Hope.

Sometimes it is necessary to let go of something we love in order to arrive at a more mature relationship. This has been the case with my enchantment with Photography. After twenty plus years of community photography, it was time for a change.

The past few years except for occasions when my clients have needed me, I have not picked up the camera. This year Spring got the better of me and I found myself going down a road looking for images. Getting gear back in my hands, working on JPEGs and TIFFs in Lightroom, felt good.
